Dogs and cherished felines—with all their independence, sensitivity, and wonderful character—are welcomed and cared for just as they deserve: with patience, respect, and love.

We know what it means to love a pet from afar.
When I moved from Brazil, my beloved cat remained there in the loving care of my son. After Darin’s divorce, his two dogs stayed with his children. Those separations were difficult for both of us because the animals we love leave a very real space in our hearts.
In caring for the dogs and cats who visit us, we found a new sense of purpose. We give them patience, safety, affection, and a place to feel at home—and they give us so much in return. Their trust fills our home and our hearts. They help us, too.
